Poem Without Words 1 - The Third Meeting

I fall into blackness 
  with no stars to guide me 
  a bottle green sleep 
  with no one beside me 
  outside it's cold 
  a wild wind's blowing 
  and I've numbed my sole heart 
  to keep it from knowing 
  that you, like this night, 
  like this hour which is passing 

  My dreams are all filled 
  with so much emotion 
  they cause my response, 
  cause my commotion 
  true love waits for me 
  I keep at a distance 
  a moment passed through us 
  that was gone in an instant 
  a moment so strong 
  it holds on with persistence 

  Deep in the dark 
  if I called, would you hear me 
  the shell by my ear sings its song 
  though its only the sound of my life 
  all rushing, and flowing 
  and a full restless heart 
  I can't keep from knowing 
  that you, like this night, 
  like this hour which is passing
